When we see ourselves in a situation which must be endured and gone through, it is best to make up our minds to it, meet it with firmness, and accommodate everything to it in the best way practicable. This lessens the evil, while fretting and fuming only serves to increase your own torments. - Thomas Jefferson

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. - Mark Twain

Small mind talk about people, meduim minds speak of events but big minds speak of ideas. Then what about minds that speak of fantasy and things that have little to no rellevance to real life? .... Nevermind, I know the answer.

This is a special calendar for handling rush jobs. All rush jobs are wanted yesterday. With this calendar, a job can be ordered on the 7th and delivered on the 3rd.
Most jobs are required by Friday, so there are three Fridays in every week.
There are eight new days added to each month to allow for end-of-the-month panic jobs.
There is no 1st of the month -- thus avoiding late delivery of the previous month's last-minute panic jobs.
Weekends have been shortened to the proper 1 day of rest.
Monday morning agony is abolished all together.
A new day, Negotiation Day (NEG), has been introduced keeping the other days free for uninterrupted panic.

Homer: God, what's the meaning of life?
God: Homer, I can't tell you that.
Homer: Why not?
God: You'll find out when you die.
Homer: Oh, I can't wait that long.
God: You can't wait 6 months?
Homer: No, tell me now...
God: Oh, OK... The meaning of life is...[Theme music starts and the show ends. The creator's original idea was that a commercial would come after this scene and before the credits, thus having the commercial interrupt God's explanation to humorous effect]

Hey ADD-B...

Here is a story you can appreciate....

I'm reminded of when I was teaching a class of 12 ADD/LD junior highers a few years ago. We began the year with all students classified as LD, and five students diagnosed with ADD as well. Soon, as more info went home and we got to know the students better, four more kids were diagnosed ADD. In the spring I finally got my diagnosis and began taking Ritalin, too. When the school secretary came to my class at noon with water and meds, she handed me a cup, as she knew I needed to take my meds, too. One of the students came over very concerned and asked, "Mrs. Z, are you SURE this ADD stuff isn't contagious???" ~Lisa Zottnick

How about when a student, last year, shouts to the whole class, (I had not told them), can't you tell she has ADD? This was a high school senior!

What is the Meaning of life?
Life can sometimes be mean but rarely seems meaning.

I composed the following letter:

To:Life
From:ADDF

What do you mean?

PS

No really, what do you mean ?

...

No response was ever received.

Conclusion:
Life may be given and taken, Life may take and give, but life answers to no one.
