Has anyone here taken Strattera and had problems of not having a cycle? I'm on 60mg and Weds will be start of week 4. I should have had my cycle around the 4th and haven't had one. I KNOW I'm not pregnant, for one my husband had a Vasectomy and was 'all clear' as of Jan 30th of this year. I'm also on the NuvaRing (to keep my cycle regulated only).

I did forget to put the NuvaRing in on the 1st of February, but quickly remembered it on the 2nd.. so that shouldn't have had any affect other then the longer bleeding I had last month. Since starting on the Strattera I haven't had one. Is this common?

This isn't common, to my knowledge, but everybody reacts to medications (and combinations of medications!) differently.

Definitely something to ask your doc about, however.

Thanks for taking the time out to reply to my post. I appreciate that. I see my Dr on Wednesday so I'll see what he says. I think I need to change meds. It's working to an extent... but it doesn't help any of my hyper-activeness and impulsiveness.

I'd ask your doctor just to be sure nothing's wrong, but I've noticed that going on and then switching meds has thrown my cycle off a bit. Taking meds that alter your brain chemistry is bound to have effects throughout your whole body, at least until it gets used to the new chemical.

Keep in mind too that if you're on hormonal birth control you're not having a "real" cycle anyway, since it works by preventing ovulation.. the bleeding is just withdrawal bleeding caused by having 3 weeks of hormones, then nothing. Not that missing/late periods are nothing to be concerned about, it's just less of a concern than if you were not on birth control.
