What I would do is forget the psychiatrist helping you with ADD. Not to sound insensitive but psych are mainly of medication evaluation.

I first would seek out a neuropsycholgist at a major hospital. And call that doctor if you need a referal I would first go to your family doctor get the referal and call the np again and make an appointment to get re evaluated.

I know for college they want a new testing every 3-5 yrs.

My adive for you on paxil is becareful... It made me crazy and I couldnt handle it. I had alot of problems with anxiety or so I thought and then was put on Stratterra nd it has done wonders.... have you thought about going off the paxil or on the lowest dose and adding strattera to the menu.... think about it and see what your psych says.

To help you our with the ADD, I would look into a psychologist.... I see one and he helps me alot. HE helps me understand math . We are working on time management too whichis a big part of ADD. I hope this helps .

While you're on Paxil you can not take Strattera.. it's in Paxil's Drug Interaction warnings. Some of the others list Anti-Depressants on the list but I don't see Paxil specifically on Adderall, or Ritalin. The best thing to do is discuss this with your Dr and tell him/her what other medications you are taking and they can tell you which one would be the best to start with.

Hello again Lipz...these might help???
It is listed as a possible interaction? Check with the pharamicist??? You can just call them and ask? Then ask your doctor...I knwo sometimes they do put somethings together ..that might not be normally perscripbed together..but then again they are humans right???

Call them...don't want to want to be an alarmist..cause I ain't no pharmacist....but all of them say not to mix it with each other

I use the top 2 when I start new stuff..or the boys do?? Since I don't have my nurse mom or Tam's here with the PDR's anymore???

Steph, I found dex helped a LOT sitting still..and better concentration, but when I take ritalin, I have no (well, hardly any) distractions. it took me ages to get used to the ritalin, and I introduced it in combination with the dex..starting slowly, and increasing..and it's brill...I can read, take notes, and get stuck into a job NON-STOP for a few hours..
It's worth a try if you can
