ROFL-#25-my thoughts.......

so EYE, our mother's had kids, us, by this logic, we turned out JUST LIKE OUR MOTHERS, when they were kids of course!

OMG-did I just say that?

#26 My mother taught me MOTIVATION.
"If you don't finish dinner with the rest of the family you won't get dessert."

I also learned about "Cause and Affect", and What happens when that, "Irrisistible Force meets that Immovable Object", from my Mother's 9 spoken words that never resorted to this..................................

Mirror Mirror on the wall I am my mother after all.

I can't believe how much I sound like my parents! The same advice, the same reactions and phrases. It's a good thing I like my Mom or this would be depressing.

I have to avoid the depressing, I have tried hard to not be like or do the things my mom did that were so hard on me as a kid. But I do try to do the things that were good.

I learned my mom is human and owe her the gift of being the person I truly am-even if she doesn't understand-I owe my mom to not try and be something I am not, that would not be honest and it is actually improving our very difficult relationship a little at a time.

I have learnd in all of my 36 years on this planet...my mom is truly my hero.

If I turn out to be 1/4 of the person she is...I will leave this planet happy...

One of my mom's favorite things to say (she never did cuss much, and when she did we just laughed and laughed)
anyway..she used to say
"Oh horsefeathers" when she knew we were full of it.

Then she would say...try again you used that last time....

And my favorite, I use all the time...
It's your lie, make is as big as you want!

When we were blabbing trying to manipulate...she would say
What are you selling? BS most of the time lol

She has taught me that nothing is more important than your family.
How to work hard. Appreciate everything you have.
She taught me how to talk things out...and be open.
She taught me how to be strong.
She taught me how to listen.
Love is unconditional.

She never gave us everything we wanted. She made us work for it, made us make hard decisions by having us make hard choices when we wanted to more than one thing....(like when we were kids...and we wanted a barbie or doll ...but only had enough for one....we used to hate that...now I appreciate it more..

She has made me realize that your kids grow up very fast....and to enjoy them as much as you can....
