The other night, my wife asked me to do the dishes. While I was doing them, along came one of my cats and I thought, "hey, while she's here..." I grabbed her and the kitty shampoo and proceeded to wash the cat and that was the end of me doing dishes.

My wife says it's like "I ask you to do A B and C but you'll do A, a little bit of B and none of C but go to X."

weird.

well, yeah, but the cat's clean.

I know. You can eat off the cat.

I do that too - going off task, not eating off the cat. I try to handle that by setting up a number of worthy tasks, and whatever I get distracted to, at least it's worthwhile. When I can do that, it makes me feel good about the day.

Hey Digger...

Here's a pic for ya...

You ask if this is common...well common enough for people to make money off tee-shirts that say this....

The only thing strange I see is if one actually completes "A" before moving onto "B", it is much more stimulating to do both. . . wash the cat and the dishes at the same time. Squeaky clean cat flea free dishes. it doesn't get any better than that. . . . ;)
