Im a 21 year old male and recently been officially diagnosed w/ add. I had taken ritalin for a year in elementary school and also had a iep for some type of reading LD, even through im solid on that part or at least think so. Im prescribed just 10mgs of adderall and can take 2 a day if i need to study.

What ive been trying to work on is thinking before saying things. I always end up with strange opinions just because i think i like to be opposite of what everyone else thinks. Also theres some words that i say strange and would love to be able to think beforehand to switch a word that i cant say right like instead of saying ideal say thought. Any ways that i can train myself not to say the first thing that pops in my head. I think this could help me tremendously b/c right now my school work is great, but socially im lacking friends and definetly have not had any luck w/ the ladies.

Many times it is not what you say but how you say it that makes or breaks people's desire to converse with you. When medicated I make myself say think inside my head before speaking. . . . this give me time to say things in a more appropriate way {should there be one}.
