with Sari Solden, MS, LMFT and Ellen Littman, PhD

Program Description

Sari Solden combines her very personal style of presentation with almost 20 yrs. of clinical expertise to share her approach to effective work with women with AD/HD.

Through a combination of lecture, unique visuals, exercises, and discussion, this workshop gives participants a deeper appreciation of the pervasive impact of executive function struggles on women who frequently are not diagnosed until adulthood because they don't fit the stereotype of someone with Attention Deficit Disorder.

Solden teaches participants how to unravel the cultural and psychological layers and presents a hands on exercise designed to help distinguish some conditions that delay diagnosis because they mimic or mask inattentive AD/HD. She outlines and explains her own model of case conceptualization. Participants will learn a way to evaluate successful treatment by looking at internal markers such as self-concept development rather than exclusively at outward signs of organization, which may always continue to be a struggle.

Guest expert Ellen Littman, Ph.D. will join Sari for an expert panel on girls and women with AD/HD which will provide ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
