Hello fellow ADD'ers. I'm a college student with a substantial amount of work on my plate this week. I am prescribed 20 mg Adderall XR in the morning and afternoon, with an additional short acting 10 mg as needed in the evenings. I was wondering if anyone knows whether taking the 2 20 mg doses during the day and then using the 10 mg to cover the evening will have a negative effect on me if done multiple days in a row. I will still be getting a good nights rest each night, and fatigue is not my concern. I am wondering whether or not doing this, say, three or four days in a row will harm the brain.

The doctor did prescribe the dosage I would be taking. I clarified with him about whether or not it is alright to take a short acting after the 2 long acting, but didn't think to ask about multiple days in a row at the time. He did not advise doing it consistently if its causing me to lose sleep, but otherwise said it was fine. I was wanting to see if anyone knew whether or not it's still alright to do so for multiple days in a row.
