I was having some rebounding issues with my 25mg of adderall. Though very slight my doc wanted to lower my dose to 20mg.

Since I have been on the 20mg dose my rebounding has been worse and it seems that any time that my meds are not im my system i get really frustrated at the smallest thing.

One more this week I came into work ready to rip the head off of somebody just becaue of a few small events (lunch box falling off of table squashing my banana, wife in not the greatest mood, and my thermos not working properly)

Last night in class I was getting really upset at my hand because I could not write a word while taking notes. It took me three times to get it right.

It seems that I am more anxious and frustrated now than before. I take my meds at 1:00 PM to help with school and homework (work full 40 and goto school in the eveninigs).

I left a message for my doc, and im going to email him also to see if he can do something. If he cannot I would rather not take the meds and wait till my mext appt than take them and continue on like this.

Does this make sense to anybody?

i used to call that "Adderall Rage". I was just dosed up on it (120 mg per day). People are different but when the stimulant meds wear off with me (all of them) I get nasty.

My doc is giving me a supplement scrip for reg adderall (not sure how much) and I can split it so that it lasts the length of the XR or I can take it as a whole.

I am going to try to split it first.

So far I just want to go back to my 25 and be happy.

After you try that, if you are still extremely aggitated, ask about trying another stimulant?

I have been on everything from short acting Ritalin/Adderall
Concerta, Focalin & Wellbutrin.

Some of them didn't work at all, or had severe side effects including aggitation and TD...I had to switch.

I am good on 20mg of Adderall XR. Lowest amount of aggitation that any others.

But I did horrible on Concerta.

So if the Addreall is not working for you ask to try something else.

Thats the weird part. I was ok on 25 minus the ocassional (read maybe 3 times in a month). But on the 20 it seems its almost everyday. I am going to ask to go back to the 25mg and stick with that for a couple of months and go from there. The thing for me that is different than most is that I take my meds later in the day as opposed to the mornings.
