Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I'm afraid I won't be back as much as I was before, but hopefully I will be able to get around here more often then I have been for the past month or 2.

I just thought I'd give a little update. Things got kinda rough for me for a little while between dealing with the ADD, depression, anxiety, some other issues in therapy, all on top of trying to raise 3 boys ages 6, 3 and 2 (he'll be 2 tomorrow actually). I've just had a lot on my plate and really hard time dealing with it all.
But fortunately I am now on some meds that are working for me, FINALLY!! I have been on Celexa for about 6 weeks now and it is doing wonders for me. I am dealing with things a lot better and I am lot less depressed.

And now that things seem to have gotten somewhat better, we are now going to get a puppy. We are in the process. We have put applications in at 3 different pet rescue places in the area and we are going to look at our number one pick tomorrow. Honestly, he sounds perfect for us and I can't see any reason why they would turn us down. So I do think this little guy will be the one. His name right now is Max, but we may change it, if we do, it will probably be Brady (as in Tom Brady, of 3 time Superbowl Champion NE Patriots:D ). He's a lab mix, they think maybe boxer/lab, they say he's pretty mellow and not jumpy and think he'll be good with the kids. We are all so excited, I can barely contain myself, I just can't wait to meet the little guy, he's so cute, here is a the picture they have of him on the website.......

Check out those legs, I just love the markings on this guy, he is just so cute!!

Well that is my latest excitement, I thought I'd share it with you all, hope you haven't forgotten about me!!:o And I do hope to be back here more often now, so I'll see you all soon.

Hi Andrea,

I am glad Celexa is working for you.
I am on it too and it has done wonders.

Let me tell you what meds are even better. You give up? The puppy are going to get.
I was given my girlfriends puppy a yr ago, and she is the best medicine I have ever had. That puppy will get you out of the house for those long walks, yes even in the rain and the snow.... but it fun. You will get ten time more love back...

i am so excited for you. Have any question let me know.

Brady is a cute name I hope you get him... I love the legs.... looks like knee highs.

1kid2dogs, Yes, I am brave, but I really only have 2 toddlers, the 6 year old is pretty independant now. And I will only have 3 toddlers for a little while, the hard part is only temperary, that is what I have to keep reminding myself and it will be fine!!

And from what I've been told about Max, the puppy, he is pretty smart and catches on quickly, so I am hoping he trains easily. *crossing fingers*

AuntChris, yes, he will most definitely be good medicine for me. Another living thing depending on me, something else to get my butt in gear every day. Thanks for the offer, if I have any questions I will let you know, it's been a while since we had a dog around. I think I am going to lose on the name, the boys are all overruling me, they all like Max better. I guess we should get a female dog, so I won't be the only girl in the house anymore.........naaaaaaaaah....I like being the queen with no princess! LOL:D

It's good to see you again Andrea, and congratulations on finding the right drug regime. It can certainlly be a wonderful thing to find.

I'm very envious about the puppy. There is something very therapeutic about having a puppy (or kitten) around the house.

Andrea, Max will not only be good for you, he will be wonderful for your children. It will bring a nurturing side out in them, that they may not otherwise have an opportunity to nurture out. And, in every man's heart is a tear for a dog he had in his youth. Max may be it for your boys! :-)

Welcome back! Always take time for yourself when you need to-a puppy! I have 3 dogs and 1 kid still at home but it is just about the same as you still. And husband's sometimes count as toddlers too.

The Depression, anxiety, ADD, and more is quite a plateful, I am eating at that buffet too right now. Glad to know you are better-I am getting there. A least you and I don't have to walk that lonesome valley alone.

ME-Still who I was, you missed the reason for the forum name change-part of the above problem #1. I am still the same old you know who! If you don't remember, pm and I will tell ya!

Hugs, glad you are back.

Hey Lars! Thanks, I am happy about finding the right meds for me finally too. And yes, I think all pets can be theraputic.:)

1kid2dogs, I do hope they learn from Max, that is one of the objectives here. I hope they will all learn about respect for all living things.

Hey VI, of course I remember you!! Thanks for the warm welcome back. Yup, I do sometimes feel like I have 4 little boys, now I will have 5 little boys to contend with....but I wouldn't want it any other way!!! LOL;)
