I've seen a lot of posts in here about people getting cold hands on Adderall, and even occasionally about their hands turning bluish. For me, I sometimes see pretty much the opposite- sometimes the palms of my hands will be noticeably redder than normal, and/or slight red blotches on the backs of my hands (usually near the lowest knuckles and lowest finger...section thingies), and my hands will feel warm. It's not a rash or hives; it doesn't itch or bother me and goes away once the Adderall wears off. It tends to happen towards the peak of the Adderall's run (2-3 hours in). Not every single time I take it, but frequently enough to have noticed it. Does anyone else experience this effect? (I'm not terribly worried, unless someone says I should be :-P but just curious)

I've never seen anyone mention anything about bluish hands because thats a sign of coronary heart failure and whoever posted it probably isnt living now.

As for redness thats totally normal, higher blood pressure and more blood being pumped to your hands and feet mean red hands and cheeks and blahblah.

I have always had super low blood pressure. around the 56/70 mark.

I have also experienced extreme cold hands and feet all the time. I am always cold in the winter. I need numerous layers of sweaters, and blankets at all times.

since ADDERALL my blood pressure has gone up to about 107/80 and my hands and feet are frozen all the time.

bit of a rant here: I am always sooo dehydrated on ADDERALL, but, I cant drink any water, because, the water comes from the fridge and is cold.

So, it makes me ever MORe cold to drink cold water. Its so frustrating. I have to fill up 3 -4 glasses of water in advance and leave them out to warm up before i can drink them.

Later, I go to drink some of my room temperature water.. and find half of it gone because my boyfriend was thirsty! ugh! :D

um.. so hands yep.. purple, red, blue... yep yep yep.

Adderall is a stimulant and causes vasoconstriction. This change in your body's circulation can slow blood flow to the extremities and cause a bluish tinge to them. This can be especially true if you're skinnier and have less body fat, such as myself.
