Well, I am doing pretty well.
In history I have been getting A's on the history papers.
The map quizzes A's and quizzes well they are so so.
my teacher is really nice, if fact she is younger than me but that is cool.
She is goign for her Ph. D and is writing her book . She showed me how she writes and puts the same topics together to make it easier for me to write my paper. She helps me outline the papter and throwsing suggestion, I do get more time and she correct my drafts. I go an A on the first one... she told me I work harder than any onther person in the class. I love her classes.

Education class I am doing better. The one that has essay test I got a C on the second midterm... Yeah... We ahave a project coming up so I have been working on that too. I found alot of information on the cenus bureau. Did know how easy it was to get in.

Math, I am doing good. The teacher and are doing much better. He knows aI want to get an A... I do all the homework. My other education is going well too.

How is everyone else doing?

I have been studying pretty much non stop.
Right now I have an A in Calc III (read other post) and trying my hardest to keep it.

Linear algebrea is going well, I think I have an A in there and hope to keep that but its not a very hard class so I think itl be ok

Physics is a tough class but im managing well enough, I am hoping for a B and would be more that happy with that grade.

I am just looking forward to the summer, itl be a lighter load than what im taking now (40hrs working and full time classes).
Finals are coming up so I will be spending all my time in my books studying.

last quarter as an undergrad and all of a sudden all of my motivation is gone!
behind in organic chemistry, behind in biology. i have a bio midterm in less than 4 hours, and so i'm up this early to cram for it, which i know will barely help, but i am just not caring this quarter.
i have to take physics and microbiology this summer because they are the last prereqs i need in order to be able to apply to dental school, but this quarter is not representing the kind of responsibility or dedication that i should be showing.
i seriously think i may fail ochem.

If you need anyhelp just send me a PM. Would be more than glad to help out anyway I can. Its probably the only way I can help.

I am in the same boat, my physics homework is piling up and I have a test supplement that I have to write and get corrected by next Monday.

The only thing that I can suggest is setting time aside for nothing else and prioritize. Even if it means going some where else to work other than home. I find I work at school better than home (before I started my meds anyway).

Crackerkorean and Iwalaina

You sound like me, I started out all excited and then after midterm I went down hill. Part of it 2 of my teacher. The one said she was worried about my time management. it is a one day a week class. I hate those classes. The teacher has no office and you cant go there for help. I can call her but it not the same as talking in person.

You two are smart I could never deal with physics. or microbiology. I have a paper due tomorrow and and am panic. Help. I wrote a thread about it in college section.

Did you get your paper done? I hope all is well.

Going through my mental list, I have a bunch that I have to do before Monday.
4 chapters of physics homework
Write a test supplement (deriving an equation) and then explaining it.
Study for my final physics test.

None of which I have started so I will be busy this coming weekend, I do have two personal events that I have to do so that I do have some free time. One is a bicycle festival (athens twilight GA) and wash my car LOL.

I also have to study for my final calc test tonight that I have tomorrow.

.... I have my linear final on monday too, I just got my last test back and got a 71 EEEK, I am hoping to keep an A in there. Everything else has been an A so if I do well on the final I hope I will be ok.

I am sooooo ready to get this semester over with. Then a week and a half break and then onto Chem and macro econ for the summer.

Thanks Crackerkorean,

I finally got it done this morning at school. I worked on it until 8pm last night at school with Steve a guy in my class. I edited the paper last night and then decided I would finish it in the morning. Good thing my class started at 10 am today. I had time to get to school early not too early and work on a paragrah or two and that summed it up. She was happy I turned it in on time.

She gave us the study guide for the final... alot of info to remember. Have 2 essay questions out of 4 to pick from.

have to study tonight for test, and write out some information for a girl in another education class so she can take everyone information and create a powerpoint for our presentation next week. So much to do in such little time. Lot of reading to do too.

You know what helped me, is to type a link in the college section and writte out what you have to do. It seem or clear and then you can print it out. I did that with my paper, and after I typed it out I understood what the teacher wanted. Wish I would have done that 10 days ago.

My psychologist had to give me a note for my Careers in Psychology course (1 credit) because I'm still working on finishing the short assignments for it. The professor has us looking into grad schools. The thought terrifies me because I've really been struggling to get projects done on time the last few semesters. I don't feel I'm capable of completing something as big as a thesis paper when I struggle to get 5 page essays done on time. Grad School means alot to me and if I don't make some major adjustments I'm not going to make it... Basically I have to get all As and Bs for the rest of my Undergrad if I want to go.

I should be able to pull a B in Abnormal Psych, I've gotten around an 80 on each test; not as high as I'd like, but decent.

The Stats class is the one that I'm worried about. I've failed it like 3 times before and I dont' want to take it again but I'm going to have to if I don't get a C or better. Thats going to be impossible unless the professor is willing to make some concessions...

Oh man themind, stats is the worse course possible. I hear some people have a great professor and enjoy it a lot - as for me, worst professor ever and a big fat F. Keep at it though, it's possible to do well, just do lots of problem sets, and see if you can track down a tutor! Good luck!

Tutor isn't the problem i understand the stuff but the guy gives tests that are 6 questions, short answer/essay type stuff that requires you to write out entire sentences about WHY we use certain formulae. With so few questions its really easy to mess up.

In English and Biology easy A's just for the fact they come naturally easy to me. I only have to look over notes in Bio and in English I usually write the paper about 3 hours before class and I still get an A on 'em (the main reason is because my ADD let's me connect sooo many things with each other and it shocks my professor how I can connect different things and then explain how I connected it).

Calculus is kicking my butt...I understand the concepts but it's the "tunnel vision" I get when trying to do problems. For me the wonderful connections I have when writing a paper doesn't apply for math. I learn how to solve a problem a certain way (the way it's taught) and then they change it slightly, for a normal person they realize all they have to do is move a variable and solve the problem a way we learned in Algebra two or something, while I'm sitting there going crazy because I can't figure out how to do it.

Same goes for Inorganic Chem...grrr. I love Organic...no math, but then I have to study to know what's on the test...and studying is a bit hard right now with out medicine.

just here to say i'm about to take my organic chemistry midterm and i'm probably (actually almost definitely) going to fail it. very bad luck with professor's teaching style, not to mention bad luck with the subject matter. yay friday. i tried to study, but the second half of the o chem sequence is really mostly just A TON of memorization, and my brain was pretty much filled to capacity a few months ago. very frustrated. well, happy friday!

I'm pretty sure I failed my Chemical Dynamics exam on Thursday. But hey, can't win 'em all right? Just remember, Ds get Degrees (or D for Diploma, depending on your program ;))

Got a 91% A in my summer Child Development class. Didn't read the book at all...

Since it was a summer class there were no projects I had to worry about.

Having finished 2 semesters of college before getting diagnosed, my GPA was pretty much non-existant. Now I'm on adderall and taking 2 summer courses, 1 of which is online. A's in both!!!! Statistics and a computer class. I just hate how i have an extremly low GPA dragging behind me. If i transfer colleges, how will that work?

Wow sound like everyone is doing great.

I was suppose to take final in art history, I didnt receive my notes from my note taker so any girl in class gave me a copy of her note yesterday..

I talked to kate, my counselor about getting an Incomplete. I saw the teacher bring my test to the office... I told him and he said sure, I explained I dont want to get a bad grade on this final and lower my grade.

I am taking it next week while classes are still in session for summer. He was going to give the month of August... but I think I need to do while information is still fresh.

If I got an A on my research paper, then I have an A-

otherwise I have a solid B.

I am still in Social Foundations for my education class it runs until August 8th.

Depends on where you go to school. Here at the U of Arkansas, if you transfer credits in from another school, they disregard the grade. You have to pass it with at least a C (and sometimes they'll make exceptions if you made a D, but not usually) and on your U of A transcript you will NOT have a grade for it - just a credit, so it won't help (or hurt) your GPA.

It may be different in SC though...

That is how it is as CSU. No grade is shown they just take the credit. They now take D's which I am not happy about, seems like they are not maintaining there standards. :foot: :soapbox:

Who knows how everything will work out... and my poor GPA freshman year wont mess me up badly in the future.

Here at the University of Montana, I'm not too worried. I have to retake a few classes, but once I do, I simply pay $100 per F, and they're dropped from my transcript.

auntchris

I would never pay to have an F removed. No way.
