I have dealt with anxiety along with my ADHD for many moons now. In the last year I began developing a pain that feels like a contraction in the upper abdomen near the esophagus. I had an endoscopy and MRI done and everything is physically fine. I really think it is the negative buildup of anxiety manifesting itself. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Yes, I sometimes get pain like that whyen I get panicky. I've found it's because I tense up.

I have/had the exact same thing and went for the same test. It's the neg. energy of anxiety manifesting itself physically. Think about all the energy you use when you have anxiety...it has to go somewhere. I hope you are feeling better.
