Well, I'm pretty much done with this semester and I wrote my one and only exam recently. Written in the special testing room, thank you very much! :D
So looking back, what do you think you would have done differently this semester? What have you learned about being a student with ADHD?
I think I am starting to finally realize what it means to have ADHD. I assumed that being on medication was the only 'special accomodation' I needed. Well, I was wrong. The fact is I need more time. I need to write my exams in a quiet room with more time. I shouldn't feel stupid for needing these things but the fact is I do.
I also need a lot more feedback from my profs. Having ADHD means that I may interpret an assignment totally the wrong way. :( At least if I had some input, I could be steered off the wrong track and onto the right one! Again, the past is catching up to me because asking questions hasn't always been such a positive experience for me, and it's entrenched in my mind.
Anyway, these are a few of my thoughts. What about yours?
