I have been on adderall xr for a yr. and 1/2 and i am starting to wonder am I ADHD? My phyc says yes and we have been over and over this but I'm still not sure. I never felt the "Haa Haa" clear moment and I'm still just as scattered brained as before and the only thing I think it has done is make me lose 40 pounds ( which 20 is back) I was on 60mg and am percribed 40 now, but only take 30mg.What is wrong? Any one else not sure? Am I subcontently only taking it? Do I say anything at my next visit? Will i gain the other 20?

Have you tried Ritalin or Dex? Sometimes one of the drugs does give more of an "ah-ha" moment than the others. Adderall worked better for me than concerta (ritalin), but I still didn't have that dramatic clearing of the fog moment.

There could also be a chance you have a little bit of another condition tied in. Remember that if you have ADHD you are 4x more likely to have some kind of co-existing condition (GAD, Depression, Bipolar, etc...)

Try another med like like Concerta, Focalin, Dex, or Desoxyn just for comparison purposes.

If you're questioning this diagnosis, then go to a new doc for an eval.
The other thing that's possible is that Adderall XR isn't the med for you if you're still as scatter brained as before. Therefore the other option is to change meds.
