Hi,
I've made the decision to transfer because my present school does not offer the major that I want. However, I am concerned about the support services available and transitioning to a new college. I am upfront about what I need most of the time to the disability office to the schools that I am considering, but its still had to know about a school from just taking to them. I am severely dyslexic and ADD. I do very well, but rely heavily on the support services at my current school. Though they do not have a full separate LD program I pretty much get whatever I ask for, because besided my testing the LD knows I work hard and have her respect. I have applied and gotten in to several schools. I would be transfering as a bio / environmental science major and possibly doubling in education. I was wondering if anyone knows anything in general or had experience with the support services at any of the following schools below:
SUNY-ESF (Syracuse, NY this school is technically separate, but is right in the middle of Syracuse University)
St. Mary's College in Maryland (St. Mary's City, MD)
McDaniel College (Westminster, MD)
Simmons College (Boston, MA)
Brandeis Univeristy (Waltham, MA)
Averett University (Danville, VA)
Emmanuel College (Boston, MA)
Thank you,
