I'm finding that I can't seem to concentrate on my reading for more than about 10 minutes. I end up reading for about 10 minutes before I have to stop or I get distracted.
I could use some advice on maintaining my concentration; I'm finding it hard to complete tasks in 10 minute blocks.
Meds cleared this problem up for me, but the best advice I have is seclude yourself with only the book you need to read. No people, no extra paper or pens, no computer. Minimize sensory input and maximize focus. Work on noticing when you get side-tracked, then you can just tell yourself "Nope, not this time" and keep reading. If your reading stats this'll probably seem impossible, but try it! it'll work!

Meds also helped me tremendously.
But without out them the best thing for me was to do homework at school instead of home. At home there were to many distractions where at school there arent as many. I also wear headphones and listen to music, but you have to make sure that its soothing mellow music (baroque works well studies have showed). This helps keep other noises out. This works more for my math studies than reading but it did help in reading.

I know if I am studying at home I become distracted easily.
I advice you to do the bulk of your homework at school.
You may need to work in a cublcal. so that you distraction is decreased.
