Dear mods and admins,
A number of us have been discussing the struggles of ADDers with academic writing in the careers/job impact forum. See this thread for details (http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39352&page=1&pp=15)...

Is it possible to create a new sub-forum for this topic under "creative endeavors"? That might be a place where we can exchange advice, strategies, successes, failures, etc. that are peculiar to the game of publishing or perishing. There is a creative writing subforum, I know. And it's not that we are not creative, but academic writing issues are a bit different than those faced by poets and novelists.

I would suggest that you go ahead with your discussions in the general creative writing section and see how busy it becomes. If it generates interest and attention than that would help the administration gauge the helpfulness of such a sub forum.

For some reason, I can't post in that topic. I get an error message indicating that I don't have permission to post there. Am I doing something wrong? Can this be fixed? Thanks for the help!

Same problem here.

That's because the person who started the thread is the only one who is supposed to write in it (like journaling). Let me see if this can be fixed/figured out, there should be an area for a discussion on writing.

ETA: Administration is working on this. Thanks for being patient, it might take a little longer.
