hi guys and gals,
well, went to my psych doc today and was prescribed adderall 5mg IR twice a day. the guy isn't in to prescribing, didnt mention anything about tapering up or anything. i am stopping straterra 40mg today, been extremely nauseated and tired the whole time i have taken it.

so i took my 5mg dose and honestly i haven't felt a thing at all, it's been 2 1/2 hrs, had to ask my wife if i actually put in in my mouth or dropped it in the seat (kidding of course).

i'm wondering if 1. the side effects of strattera could be the cause of not feeling a thing or 2. the dose is too small for me to notice anything
i'm 5'7, 165 lbs.

my doc is horrible, when i mentioned dexedrine, he freaked and said no way that is basically street meth, has a amphetamine salt in it, but i will give you adderall (i wanted to say hmmm, well that is four amphet salts, and includes dex, but held my tongue)

so basically yes i am a bit impatient, but no feeling different at all? just wanted some input from you guys

thanks

Try and be patient. The norm is at least two weeks to a month to feel the theraputic effects of any medication.

You don't necessarily want to "feel" anything. Ideally If it works you'll just feel normal period ie. better focus, follow through clear headed as opposed to that brain fog that many with ADD experience. Stick with it, I hope it works out for you. :)
