Start with Tony Attwood if you're interested in any of these.
I'd say Freaks, Geeks and Asperger's Syndrome is a good book to choose. Either that or the Curious Incident of the dog in the nighttime. Both of these books are written by young boys who have the disorder. I don't know how big the books are in the US because the boys are British but doubtlessly you can import them using Amazon or something.

"The curious..." is a fictional detective novel, not a factual book about AS!
Yeah, true, but it still gives people an insight on how people with AS think..

I'd say Freaks, Geeks and Asperger's Syndrome is a good book to choose...I've read this book and really engjoyed it. It's written by a teenager with the diagnosis of asperger's disorder and he tells you what his life is like living with the diagnosis and how to cope with the symptoms of the dx. It's a great read for parents, teachers, and teens with the diagnosis...

I have not read "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome" but I have read Tony Attwood's book "Asperger's Syndrome" just is very good in describing Asperger's Syndrome and how to help people with it. I have feeling his "Complete Guide" has more information and up to date. I would say that if you are new to Asperger's Syndrome to read Tony Attwood's books.
