Anyone ever use GHC? This will be the first time I'm going there. Ive been diagnosed already, just my insurance only allows meds rxed by GHC GP/MD. I hope I dont have to go through all them tests again. :-(
Thanks,
Tim
Group Health Cooperative (sp), Im a state employee so that was the best plan for the buck I got that has a low anual deductable and low monthly premium for employees.
Well, the Doc appt went well, less painfull than I thought it was not too much waiting, they put me on a kiddy dose of ritalin to start of with 10 mg twice daily, and will visit with the doc again in 2 weeks to see how it went. Lets see how it goes.

So far 10 mg X2 mg of ritalin not helping too much, it helps only very slightly, My thoughts seem a bit more straight and can concentrate a tad better. I only notice a bit of dry mouth when i take my second 10 mg, No sides besides that though. I would say no real marked improvement, oh and a very slight calming effect as well. That little moter seems to slow down slightly as well. So basically I do "feel" it, however I wil see about either increasing the dose to 20 X 2 a day or switching to try Adderall. Also the effects do not last long enough, considering I work 10 hours, once it wears off It's worn off. Im reading adderal lasts a bit longer. Wondering if that would be a better path maybe, instead of Ritalin... Any thoughts from anyone?

I can't say anything on the Adderall but I can say that the dry mouth will go away. It is just your body getting used to it. If they increase your perscription you're mouth will get dry again but only for a little bit. Best of luck to you.

Ahh.. and so it begins! The medication roulette wheel :)
The only thing I can say about the medication is that you have to keep reporting the affects to your Dr. so they can make the proper adjustments. It may be that Ritlian isn't the way to go, and Adderall might be better. Than you have to play around with the dosage. Which dose will give you the most bang for your buck.

Remember to go on ability to function NOT feelings. . . . .feelings are fleeting functioning occurs long after you have adjusted to the feelings of being on medications.
