Hi everyone. I don't know if this is where this belongs, but I have a 12 year old daughter with inattentive ADHD. Middle school has been hell, so I filed for a child support modification (her dad has paid nothing so far) and now the crap is hitting the fan. I am not really worried that any judge would give him custody (his response to the support order is that he thinks he can convince DD to live with him... she burst out into tears when I warned her so he wouldn't catch her off guard. She is that upset about the prospect of living there), but we are hiring a lawyer anyway, and want to go in as armed as we can. This is just a child support hearing, but he is making it sound like he intends to take it further. I am hoping we can head him off at the pass so to speak and show up a the support hearing well prepared.

My biggest concern is that he mentioned getting at least half custody. My issue with this is Mel's ADHD. She needs a VERY consistent and organized homelife, and he simply cannot provide this. So, I am looking for some articles about the importance of such a lifestyle.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
