drs have given me pure he!! about my meds, i moved to florida a year ago, prior location was nebraska, my psych was thu creighton university, script was 80 mg daily of adderall for 6-7 months the creighton psych mailed me my script here in florida. I found a general physician who kept the 80 mg daily going for 3 months (MONTHLY VISIT REQ'D), in february he DOUBLED the dose for no reason, thats right 160mg daily walgreens changed that to 120 mg daily (30mg. 2 x twice daily), the dr did the same thing in march, then in april he wrote it for 60 mg daily, i phoned his office, they told me they would no longer be treating adult add....found a new general dr., she wrote the scrip for 120mg daily x 30, walgreens called her, she changed it to 40 mg daily, i asked her why she did this, her reply was 40mg daily is the max dose...in april i visited a clinic here for mental health treatement, they took all my info, scheduled me an appt (2 months later), today was my appt....guess what??? they will no longer precribe stimulants for adults with add......the reason given was abuse problems in this geographic area....HELP ME PLEASE BEFORE I GO THE F&^$ OFF!!!

Doctors can't change anything on a C2 medication over the phone. :confused: Sorry your having so many problems.

I agree they can not change Adderall prescriptions or any schedule two medication over the phone. Pharmacist cannot change doses of any medication without the doctor's approval. It sounds strange all of a sudden three places decide to no longer prescribe stimulant medications to adult.

This is what the people who take ADD medication illegally do for us who take them as prescribed. . . .sucks doesn't it?
