Has anyone here thought of building their own EEG? I've heard that you can do EEG training, which is expensive, but has anyone built one?

I have taken many people for EEG's, and have had one myself, as well as having watched my son have one. I have been trained in biofeedback - but that was to learn how to control stress (decrease heart rate, tension level, etc). Learning to control your thought processes is too esoteric for me...
Unless you are very motivated, it's easier to buy the equipment. All you need is a device like SmartBrainGames sells (about $400) or some other like it and three electrodes. You can download a trial version of Bioexplorer and see/record your EEG (one point at a time, though). Obviously, don't trust your analysis without checking with a trained professional.
