I am looking for techniques/tips that will improve my ability to fall asleep at night regardless of the situation. Thanks in advance.

Exercising regularly has helped me. I do weightlifting. I often feel that I have to be totally exhausted to fall right into sleep but consistent exercise does the job. Sometimes I take 5HTP. Check to see if there will be any adverse effects on your health.

How late are you taking meds?
Are you exercising regularly?
How much coffee/caffeine/stimulants per day?

That was my first question. Taking your meds past 9pm is not a good idea. I would reccomend taking them daily at the same time and not taking them past nine. I learnt much of this from my Mom who is a retired nurse, and also I have to take medication for epilepsy so I need to take it on a regular time everyday.

Also, I would keep a food journal... write down everything... gum, candy pop... down and the time you ate it... like noon nite 11pm...

are you active, do you go to school, work, exercise. I walk my dog.

are you eating chocalate, that has caffine in it. you can be eating foods that have hidden caffine in it and not even know it.
