A lot of people say that physical exercise (like swimming) can replace the feeling you get from the meds - some people even go so far as to say that if you exercise all the time, you won't need meds:eyebrow:. I don't know about, that, but I thought I would throw that out there since you were asking.;)

I don't think swimming effects your medications. But you should get some rest so that your body has time to heal. Your body has a fevor because its trying to fight some sort of infection. It needs rest to help conquer this.

I know i should stay home with the fever but if i make an exception just this once while having a temp of 38.3 degress which is like 102 or sumthing...will i be ok when im swimming...
Define swimming in this case: just talking with friends in water, no serious excercise.

Well, fever is serious business. Maybe if you're laying on a lawn/pool chair you could be okay...But you really should be in bed.

I do not think swimming is going to have an effect upon how well your medication works, I think Adderall takes effect on a wet person just like it would on a dry person other wise one would notice a change in effect when we bathed.
The fever if I were ill enough to be running a 102 F temp I would not even be asking this question because I wouldn't feel like gettting on the computer never mind go swimming. When I have a fever I sleep.
I think what you want to hear is, "you'll live." It's not like you're going to die...unless you drown or something...but there is always that risk, isn't there?
If you really want to swim, do it...but try to do everything you can to help your body recooperate beforehand, like rest and medicine.
I wouldnt go swiming.. gah. If ya gots a fevah, stay home, chill drink allot of fluids, cuz ya dont wana make it worse. :-) Just My opinion ..

I think aerobic exercise speeds up the metabolism of drugs with me. This makes sense because aerobic exercise speeds up many metabolic processes. It's my experience that the medications do not last as long when I take them prior to working out.

If you have a fever due to a viral infection, it would be irresponsable to go swimming in a public pool since you're likely to infect other people. If you really want to do something with your friend while ill, chose an activity that will minimise your contact with the general public.

I do 8-10 hours Mon-Fri. of brisk walking (normal people have to jog to keep up with me) and take Adderall before and during my exercise. I do not think that the exercise effects how my body metabolizes the Adderall in any way. If I do not get this amount of exercise in a day, not even the meds will calm me down. I would guess that I would have to take more for them to work if I weren't in constant motion. If anything, the Adderall keeps me calmer and enables me to walk just a bit slower. My daily route doesn't stress me out now the way it did before meds-- and I can remember where I'm going and in what order to do things! Based upon this experience, I do not think that adderall would negatively affect swimming or any other type of aerobic exercise.
