My son had his assessment yesterday and the pychologist said that he doesnt think he has adhd although i still think he has add,but the other person present who i dont know her job,said that they think he could have ODD. Can this be present by itself as i heard that it most usually travels with another disorder? They said he is very powerful in what he does and enjoys causing conflict but is also very unhappy being the way he is.
He said every thing that he would suggest we do to help him, we have already done and that they want to take on his case as he needs to be sorted now before he gets any older. I have another appointment in 2 weeks but i dont know what happens from here,what do they do at the next visit? I wasnt told very much about where we go from here,so i am feeling a bit confused:confused: . On the plus they did also say that the way he is being treated by his teacher is unfair and it will do him damage and she needs to be told on how to handle and deal with him appropriately.:)
