Ok, I was just wondering, how busy does your mind have to be exactly to have ADD?
People say that you have to be thinking about multiple things at once to have a busy mind, but this is not the case for me... :(
I have very few thoughts in my head at once, but they are almost always there!
And I get so deep into these few thoughts in my head that I switch off from whats going on around me. :(
Can this possibly be ADD, or do you have to constantly have a really busy mind?
Note: My mind tends to be a bit busier when I am trying to get to sleep at night...

Actually you described your ADD very accurately in the part quoted below.
And I get so deep into these few thoughts in my head that I switch off from whats going on around me.
ADD - is the inability to consciously control your direction of focus and length of your attention span.
It is very difficult to compare actual number of thought per individual because it is so subjective. What may seem like a lot of thoughts for me may be only a few thoughts to you so the "business of your brain" doesn't define weather or not you have ADD.

Actually you described your ADD very accurately in the part quoted below. I have never been diagnosed, and I never suspected myself of having it until I learnt about it, I always just blamed myself for my simple mistakes in life.
ADD - is the inability to consciously control your direction of focus and length of your attention span. I can focus on things like the PC kind of easy, but I still have diffculties at the same time.
For example: I came on my PC for the main reason of coming on to this site, but I forgot all about that, and I ended up going on other sites and talking to friends on my MSN for about an hour, before i remembered to come on here, it just kind of clicked! Like ooo yea, I better do that!!
But I did stop about 30x making this message because the small blue tab bar at the bottom of the screen goes orange when people send me MSN messages (damn AOL! ;) ) and I just forget about this, and get chatten to people... :faint:
Good thing I am a fast typer, otherwise it would have taken me years to type this message. :D

What may seem like a lot of thoughts for me may be only a few thoughts to you so the "business of your brain" doesn't define weather or not you have ADD.I really honestly dont know how busy my mind is, its like i just dont understand my own thoughts at all, so I dont know if I have too many thoughts or not, because I dont really think about it. :(

well, i'm like that sometimes...
i wonder how much i have to think to actually be add...
but, just compare how much you're thinking to the norm.
if you've been told more than a few people that you're thinking too much, then you probably are!
