Morning,

I'm at a point now where I'm ready to try a new med. I'm in my 30's and have so far had Concerta and Strattera. Concerta worked well for awhile, but then seemed to fade and it's effects diminish. I tried Strattera, and while it did bring me "down" so to speak, I felt entirely too much like Zombie. To tell you the truth, I don't seem to need much of it during the day, it's more after work with the fam where i need to come down. I'm a software engineer by trade, so having excess energy serves me well during the day. Furthermore, because my trade is so "interesting" to me, I have no issues focussing on what I'm doing.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what medications i might discuss with my doctor? I was leaning to Adderall, as so many seem to have success with it. If it didn't bring me to zombie state during the day, I'd be ok with that.
I have tried Ritalin awhile back, and had bad side effects with it.

Did you increase your dose of Concerta? Usually the first dose of any med works for a short time but then requires an increase (...titration...to find the best level).
That said probably one the next long acting med to try would be Adderall XR or Focalin XR if you are ready to give up on Concerta.
