Reading the symptoms of low dopamine, it says muscle stiffness, cold hands and feet, and lack of focus and concentration.

High dopamine symptoms are paranoia, overactive brain, see or imagine things that arent real.

So, I dont get it. I cannot focus without adderall, but when I take it I experience all the symptoms of LOW Dopamine. When I am not on adderall, I experience the symptoms of HIGH Dopamine.

I am not a doctor, so there are probably lots of factors I dont know about taking place, but can anyone else relate here? I mean damn, when I am on adderall I am a focus machine. Literally- Its like I still have ADD, but I can CHOOSE which things to focus on. And I remember everything - everything!

When I am off adderall, like my previous post, I waste time like crazy. I waste time, waste it all day long. Maybe its like some kinda learning disability or something. Or maybe adderall just forces my brain to make dopamine only for my brains use - so my body dosnt get any to relax my muscles.

Whatever it is, its freakin strange. Either way though, GOD BLESS ADDERALL!

Low dopamine = Hyperactivity and lack of focus

Average dopamine = Normal behavior and focus patterns.

High dopamine = Hyperactivity and mega focus.

Because people with ADHD have naturally a low level of dopamine, when they take a stimulant, it brings them closer to the average level of dopamine, so it helps you to control your impulsiveness and attention.

People who do NOT have ADHD naturally have Average amounts of dopamine, so when they take a stimulant, it over flows there mind with dopamine making them more hyperactive, but because a stimulant will almost help anyone focus, non adders would just get hyperactive and hyper focused

so your left with this conclusion:

Adder + stimulant = calmness and improved attention

Non adder + stimulant = Hyperactivity and hyper focusing
