I love Heavy metal because of the lyrics...some are inane...but some songs I can relate to the problems I go through. In fact Kix's Song- Don't close your eyes- Kept me from commiting suicide in my suicidal teenage years.

My playlist includes most of the above... well no Rap, and precious little Classical or Country.

It also includes Comedy, Celtic, Gothic, Electronica, and other stuff that is hard to fit into one genre or another...

Darn I should have thought of that...but I always considered gothic as Metal. That just Moi.

There certainly is gothic metal, but the gothic music I listen to has more in common with other genres, for the most part...

my vote would be for other/eclectic (like Whoopi said in Sister Act - that means I like all kinds of music.)

At work I like to listen to metal or hard rock, because it causes me to type faster. At home I listen to top 40 or pop stations, and in the car whatever I can sing along to.

yeah i would have said rock is my favorite too (but more on the punk rock end of the spectrum than the metal end) i voted metal b/c it was the closest choice though.
