I have to go with bands and songs, rather than genres, because there are too many of them that don't easily classify! :D

Inkubus Sukkubus (gothic)
Garbage
Great Big Sea (Folk/adrenaline)
Sarah McLachlan
the Arrogant Worms (comedy)
Heywood Banks (comedy)
Stevie Nicks
Assorted 80s pop and 1 hit wonders
some popular heavy metal - hits by Metallica for example
Roxette (*cringes and ducks*)
REM
Cyndi Lauper (had the HUGEST crush on her as a teenager :D )
Econoline Crush
Heart
Meat Loaf
Some show tunes (Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, the Mikado, Rocky Horror Picture Show)
geek and Society for Creative Anachronism filk songs

And a plug of my own: The Unit 23 Webcomic Theme (Hard On The Core Remix) by Mibbly! Available for free download here:

I am a band/song person myself......genres, I listen to a little of everything...not so much mainstream...jazz, punk, rock, metal (depends on what it is), house, brit pop, garage rock, rap, old country (cash!), alt country (neko case and her boyfriends).....all sorts of stuff.....

The presets in my car are as follows in this order: Classical, classic rock, "alternative", "regular"rock, pop, and hip-hop.

I'm loving Blink 182, Outkast, Chingy, 311 and Incubus right now.
Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne is in there too, but that belongs more in the earworms thread.

I always love Van Halen(or Hagar, I'm not a snob), Boston, Rush.

So many more I can't think of now.
