Wow, a while after taking my first dose of Focalin today i was sitting here and I noticed no racing thoughts, my wife described it best, the ticker tape has stopped. I could focus on things and remember thing, i didn't know what to do with myself I was kinda bored. I could go to sleep though, just feels peaceful even for a little bit, no crazy worrying or BS thoughts.

Did you ever try Ritalin? How it compare?

Just Diagnosed and this is the first meds I have ever been on, it felt like such a relief.

Please keep us posted on how it works for you. I am very curious about it. I have never taken meds for ADHD before.

Well I can tell when it kicks in and when it wears off. My thoughts are not racing anymore when I am on it. As far as I know I have felt no side effects. I can amazingly remember things that before would have been impossible and I don't worry as much. I had a major issue with toxic worrying. I found myself trying to start to worry about something habbit i guess but it wasn't working. WOO HOO. But all in all its working well, i have to ask the doc. about a fast acting for the long days, i start my day at 7 and finish about 11 or midnight so i have a couple hours when I am not on meds. I would like a more constant day. but so far so good.
