What would you guys enjoy getting in a care package from home in the middle of camp????? I need some more ideas. :D DS is 14 and up in the pines at church camp. Gosh, maybe I should stuff his Good Book in there for good measure! LoL.

Candy, candy, and more candy. Some sort of toy that he and the other guys can use (if theirs a lake, a new water toy?). Maybe a magazine/comic if he likes anything specific. Jiffy-pop if they gather around the fire? Same with smores ingredients (cept everyone would be crawling all over him!)

But still, my vote would be for some candy or game/toy he and the kids can use.

Oatmeal cookies are the best! (e.g. Dads)
Baggies of assorted nuts for munching
Dried fruit (from health food store?)
Tetra Paks of juice?
Deck of cards
Little pocket flashlight for finding way to bathroom in the night
Little bottle of OFF bug spray (LOL)
Wet one wipes (good for when kids can't shower on demand; get muddy on trails)
Little pocket bottle of Sunblock
A beloved Bear or travel pillow
Magnetic (travel) Scrabble Game

Am i too late, Frazzle?? I have at least 1 more addition!!

Water Balloon kit (with nozzle) to attach to a hose! How much fun would that be!
(maybe even a water balloon slingshot!!) <- - - - those are the most fun!!

I think the glo-sticks are the BEST idea!!

what about face paint?

Super soakers??
Lifesavers (hard candy and the sour gummy savers)

Beef/turkey jerky

any hand-held video games

PB Cookies

Juice boxes

Flashlight or a reading light

good book (like Harry Potter . . or Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys ,. . . .)

Jiffy pop is a BLAST to have!

chex mix

rice krispie treats (i prefer the PB w/ chocolate, but it would get all melty. . so marshmellow would be the best bet)

favorite magazines

Puzzle/logic books/suduko

:( I had to send it off yesterday morning, at a hefty price I might add! Just for him to get it by Wednesday afternoon. Then, he only has 2 days left of camp, so I made it a bit slimmer than I would have liked, BUT, I will keep all ideas for next year too. I did find some glow items that would be lots of fun and add to his popularity points, those were great ideas. I let ADHDKID39 know the suggestions came from fellow forum members. Instead of including a letter, I put notes on all the individual items!

Thanks so very much!

I hope he enjoys it!!

I've sent some care packages to the troops and while it makes me (and them) happy. . . it's sure expensive!! I think one time I spent $20 to get one sent out.
