Three weeks ago I had my shrink print out an application to get free Dexadrine. The qualifications are simple:
1)Have no medical insurance
2)Income is low and makes it hard to buy meds
3)You do not qualify for govt Aid
It took them at least three weeks to respond, but when they did they included two letter to give to my shrink and on one was A phone number and website of the manufacter to get an application from them for you and doctor to fill out. The doctor took care of most of the application I just filled in the blanks. Then I have to mail it back to the doctor and he will take care of the rest.
So simple! I hope this helps some of you who can not afford medicine.
I believe this program only works in the United States.

I just sent in the paperwork to the embassy for Australia to become the 51st state.
Apparently it may take a while.
Thats great news
I feel so bad up here when I get it for free and dont even use half of what I get, - knowing that there are people who need it and cant get it
Im Happy for you Melly
Actually Gary, The Manufactures were only willing to give me half of my prescribed dose(only enough for once a day) I hope who ever applies for the Medication has better luck...I do not know if my situation had to do with the fact that I also applied for Lamictal, or that is just their policy.:(
1/2 is better than none is it not
Perhaps, but...it is my doctor who would not go for it..he wants my ADHD to get better...and like me..he would not settle for seond best....less dose of the medicine would not help me and hardly give me enough to last a month. I trust my doctor and believe he knows what is best...at least I was able to get Lamictal for only $10...original would have cost $348!!!:uhh:
Thank Goodness for that too;)! May have gotten a bum deal w/ dexadrine but blessed for lamictal

I just started Dex, after three months of Ritalin. Day two. Notice my breath is a little stale. Otherwise it seems smoother that Ritalin. Taking the Mallinkrodt generic. Still, 120 5 mg tabs, four a day, costs $80. Mall generics are good. I was taking Methylin before this. This free dex deal has my interest. I'm working, but income is not that great. I'll check it out Draga.
I am spending a fortune on my these drugs. Because we are self-employed we can't get good group policies or rates. My husband and I spend 300 a month on insurance which has a $5,000 deductible per person (my kids are covered throught their stepmom). Nothing is covered until you reach that amount so all my prescriptions I pay out of pocket. My effexor is close to 100 per month and my adderall is about 80 per month, my husbands cholesteral meds is 100 per month. My daughter also takes adderall but with her insurance I pay $10 for hers, man there is something to be said for being employed by a company...

Check out Mallinkrodt for generics. They're identical and 40% less in price. I take them.
