View Full Version : Attention All that can not afford medication!
www.freemedicineprogram.com
Medication is costing more and more each day...if you have trouble affording medicine click on that link and see if they carry your(of childs) medication.
Qualifications are as follows:
1)Have no insurance
2) income makes it hard to get medication(who doesn't have that problem)
3) Do not qualify for gov't Aid.
They will send a letter for you to mail to your doctor and Manufacturer's applicaton form. once you get applicationyour doctor and you will fill out application and then doctor will take it from there.
I hope this helps you.
FYI this program includes Ritalin LA and Dexadrine
I noticed :D Good for my sake..but i have noticed that they do not carry adderal..I wonder why.
Shire, the company that makes ADDeral probably doesn't supply them with free coupons.
You would think as expesive as it is...they would supply everyone.

relvinnian 09-11-05, 10:21 AM I haven't checked that link yet, but the single best resource I have found is: http://www.needymeds.com/
It's a compilation of programs funded by pharmaceutical companies, and therefore, the requirements differ based on which program you're applying for. I get my Lexapro and Strattera through these programs, and you don't have to be dirt poor to qualify (I have a full-time job). The Adderall I choose to pay for because I like the flexibility of the immediate release, but Adderall XR is covered, as are Dexedrine, Ritalin LA, and Concerta.
I just checked the link re Adderall XR. You must attach your more recent tax return to show proof of income. For one person households, eligibility is restricted to persons with income of $18,620 or less; two-person households must have income of $24,980 or less.
Given the exorbitant price of Adderall XR - I recently paid $217 for 60, or $3.61 a pill, and then filled another prescription at a different dosage and paid $54.75 for 12 pills or $4.56 a pill - the Shire discount program is a joke. I can hardly believe that a single person earning $18,621 a year without prescription drug coverage could pay $3.61 or $4.56 a pill for Adderall XR. Even at the cheaper price, a year's supply of Adderall runs $1,317 a year.
The drug companies, including Shire, are really gouging the uninsured to cover their obscene profits.
BUGZAPPERS 12-05-05, 11:18 PM The shire program costs you 5$ a month if you qualify.
If you don't, then your probably eligible for government assistance. ie, medicaid.
I know I have 6 in my family. I don't pull in 60k with both of us working.
Besides, Why take adderall or the XR, when you can take Dexedrine? It is hundreds of time cheaper. There are time release spansules.

From the information I have learned there is no such thing as "Free Medication". There is help or lower cost, but that depends on the seller's reputation. Do you have more information regarding this program? Not an advertisement, but more of an explanation, etc.
replystreet 07-22-07, 12:01 AM With the new information that I have given you. You can see that free prescription medications are out there. I have them for as long as I need them. A lifetime. And that's a great feeling. I know lots of people who have benefited from this service. If others want to also have a lifetime of free medications. They can call 1-888-872-7519.
ScooterGirl 10-25-07, 04:11 PM Is there any prescription assistance program that helps pay for the regular (non-XR) Adderall, even generic? I can't seem to find one to save my life. I've looked and looked, and called places, and filled out forms. I've tried the XR and didn't feel it worked well for me. I'm on a low dose, but I barely make enough money in a week to cover one month's supply.
I am in a bad spot and I doubt I qualify for any assistance. I have a full time job with prescription coverage but it is lousy for mental health. I have to pay over $200 each month for my meds. With all my other bills and student loans, I just can't make ends meet. It really stinks.
Spongedaddy 12-09-07, 07:54 PM Hello,
I found this on another site and thought it might be helpfu. I checked out the links and they all seem excellent
"
I received my lamictal for free from the manufacturer, Glaxo Smith Kline, as I met the eligility requirements. You do have to prove income and not have any insurance coverage. However the income requirements are not that strict. More info here http://www.bridgestoaccess.com (http://www.bridgestoaccess.com/)/
Also you can request the $10 per month rx check from them when you sign up for their "Stay On Track" program. Info is here http://www.lamictal.com/bipolar/patients/saving_offer.jsp (http://www.lamictal.com/bipolar/patients/saving_offer.jsp)
For patients eligible for Medicare Part D prescription coverage, if you meet income requirements, you can get any Glaxo Smith Kline meds at no charge. Called GSK Access. Info http://www.gsk-access.com (http://www.gsk-access.com/)/
Also there is the Together Access Card. You must have no insurance, not be eligible for medicare, and resident of the US or Puerto Rico. There is also income requirement. This is a free discount card that is supposed to be usable at many pharmacies. I have no personal experience with this so don't know the savings. It is a recommended resource on the GSK site. Info at http://www.togetherrxaccess.com/Tx/jsp/home.jsp (http://www.togetherrxaccess.com/Tx/jsp/home.jsp)
Also for one stop "shopping" so to speak for all free/reduced priced meds through manufacturers. It is called Partnership for Prescription Assistance. Quote from website "Through this site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies." Site is https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php (https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php)"
