I'm from the UK, currently (and temporarily) working in the US.

I'd like to be screened for ADD, but my business travel insurance doesn't cover me for psychiatric treatment. Can anyone give me some advice on how much diagnosis/treatment/medication would cost me in the US if I have to pay for it myself?

Otherwise, in "private pay" with an "ability to pay" you may find high prices... $500 to $1500 or more.

Best advice... call several doctors and ask.

I'm not too far away from one of the Amen clinics. It looks like it would cost me around $3000 for a diagnosis, but there's no info on how much followups would cost.

Do the Amen clinics have a good reputation?

Dr Amen has written a couple of books on ADD - "Healing ADD: The Breakthrough Program That Allows You to See and Heal the 6 Types of ADD" is one of them. You would definately want to read one before you drop 3G's at his clinic! I'll bet there is someone on this forum who's been there.
