I lost my job and insurance a few months ago and have been having problems since I lost insurance and the company did not offer for me to keep it canceled it just a couple of days after firing me. Since all this has happened by BP has been out of control, I see dark spots in my eyes like watching TV with missing pixels, daily extreme head aches, asthma worse by far, stress very high, panic attacks, anxiety just to name a few. Feels like my eyes and head is going to explode. Sometimes it hurts so bad all I can do is just grab my head and eyes and wait and pray for the pain to stop. Loosing my job the way I was done and how wrong they treated me just drives me insane. I don't know if this is a workman's comp issue since I am already fired or what. This has been about 3 months ago just all the stress building up I just feel my head is going to explode.

I cant afford to go to the Dr. Just hanging loose waiting to see what the attys. have to say looking into things. I just got in touch with some this week, but not heard any detailed stuff other than the case is more than interesting. All of that is another story. You can search on what postings I have made to read about that.

Right now I am more concerned over my eyes and blood pressure. This has been going on for about a week with the eyes looking like I am missing pixels. I think I heard somethingfrom my Dr. about blood pressure being high can canse blindness. So what should I do to stay calm or make my eyes stop hurting?

Thanks,
Zeb

Zebulon, you should IMMEDIATELY look into COBRA coverage, it's mandatory coverage that an employer must offer for up to 18 months after you're no longer with the company (though you have to pay for it). The advantage is that they cover pre-existing conditions. But there's only a certain amount of days (roughly 60) before which you're no longer eligible to get it.

Get yourself to a doctor right away. An optometrist might be cheaper but may know what's going on. Since they're not doctors, they'll definitely refer you to one, but they may also tell you it's probably fine.

If your vision looks like this, you may just have floaters. I've had those since I was a kid. They don't ever go away and they can be annoying but your brain eventually forgets that they're even there.

But, it could be serious, and that's why you have to get your butt to a doctor. Do you see flashes? If you put pressure on the right side of your eyeball with your right index finger, you should see a black spot on the left (opposite) side. Is it a black spot like that? Does it come and go? Is it worse when it's bright than dark?

I'd say run to your nearest emergency room or urgent care. Please, do not mess with this!

Yea Yea pedalpounder It looks like that very close. It just happens when I start feelling like a panic attack when all the stress builds up. The headaches are aways there for the most part and dark spots come when I feel my heart starting to race and feel pressure above and behind my eyes.

I know its just stress but was not sure if could be medical. I will find out about the cobra insurance, they never mentioned anything about it, just dropped me.

I am just more stressed than usual. I had to file an appeal with the ESC from where my claim was denied. After I told them my version of what happened to me at my last job and it hit public record, every lawyer is trying to get me to pick them.

Any thanks for the info on floaters.

Thanks FrazzleDazzle. I know I should already do that but dont want to spend the money if its just stress reated.

I am just trying to find out danger signs so I will know if it gets to that point before I really need to go.

Something was amiss yesterday, the board must have been closed down for some reason. I had withdrawals. :-(

Hope you are feeling much better. The only one who can tell you if what you are experiencing is stress-related or not is a doctor.

I know if I ask around and google things when I experience health issues, that just raises my anxiety level even more, cause I get all the scare stories! Only a doctor can bring you peace of mind and correct any issues before any may cause permanent damage.

HEHEHE No doubt! I feel Ya. Being home all day watching those CSI shows will really mess with Ya.

If I had the money I woud just get my add meds filled and skip the Dr. Just all this legal fallout after I lost my last job has been insane. I am just glad all these attys are not wanting to sue me. They are wanting to sue the MRO, former employer and their parent company, my ex supervisor drectly and file criminal assault charges against him. Gees I hate when things stress my mind and eyes out like this.

I appreciate Ya,
Zeb

Headaches, feeling pressure and vision loss are signs of something that could be really bad. It's better to go to the doc and get yourself a debt that you can pay back in the future than lose your life and have no future.
