Guys i just went back to doctor on monday, to get back on my meds. Well while i was there my blood pressure was up alil. and since i have been on the meds my blood pressure has stayed high, last evening i checked it at walmart and it was 178 over 107, i dont know much bout high blood pressure but i called my father bout it and he said it was really high.any info would be greatly appreciated

"Normal BP" is 110/70, or so. A bit less is okay, too.

The lower # is especially what you want to watch, as that indicates that your resting arterial pressure is high -- which is of concern. But, yes, both are high.

What other meds are you on? Are you overweight? Sleep apnea?

I hope you see your Doctor about this.

High blood pressure , is never a good thing. Did he want you to come in? Stop the meds?

My side effect from depakote is trembling hands.

Im on resperdal also, to help me sleep. I take one at night. Im supposed to go in this week to see him again on how my meds are working. So im going to mention it to him to see what he says.

That sounds like a very good idea. Have you checked it again?

Did you get a chance to look it up and see if thats an unusual side effect?
