It does not burn up the Adderall. However, it does slow the absorption of it.

Citric acid is just one acid. There are many acids that do this too, like ascorbic acid (vitamin C), phosphoric acid, etc.

I found that the issue for me was that it was not the amount of acid that impacted my medications, as much as it was an issue of when I consumed the acid that impacted my medication.

If I drank a soda when I took my pill, it effected my medication. However, if I waited a couple of hours after taking my medication and drank a soda, I felt no impact on my medication.

We each respond differenty to these things, so it might be a bit different for everyone.

Howdy Sox!

I was also confused about citric acid and other acids with my Adderall.
I inquired to my pharmacist about this subject. She told me to avoid acidy intake 2 hours before and after I take my Adderall. I am a huge fan of Crystal Light on the Go packets...and noticed the first ingredient listed was Citric Acid. So needless to say I stopped taking my adderall with the on the go green tea on my water! haha.

I also started taking my multi-vitamin in the evening. I keep it on my nightstand so I dont' forget to take it.

So I hope this helped out! Just try to avoid any acidy intake 2 hours before and prior to taking your medication!! :)
