What is the time you usually leave between doses in a day? What is the MINIMUM time you would leave between doses?

Also, if I take 10mg at 8 and another around 1 or 2, is it possible that my "results" wont be as good as if I took 20mg once a day???

I'd like to know as well. Just got a prescription from my Dr. 10 minutes ago. He did say that I should take 10mg in the morning and then another 5 if I really need to later in the day (I'm full time student and work, so 9-10 work days).

I asked a similiar question about 2 months ago. Since then I've gone to taking one at 8AM (20mg) and then the next dose at 11AM (20mg). This works for me, though sleep is a problem. It's a trade-off

I take 20mg xr at 7am another at around 10am and then my last one around 1pm. Im on 20mg xr 3 times a day and thats what works for me. My doctor just told me to mess around with my dosses untill i figured out what was right. So i would experement a little and see what works best for you. Adderall is different for everyone.

Intersting. I was always too worried to take my second dose before about 5-6 hours after the first because how it says that the second part of the pill is released 4 hours after taking. I have been doing okay taking it about 6 hours apart, but maybe I will try 3-4 and see how it goes, I have been having problems being tired at night when I take it at 1-2!!

This is why I like IR, you can judge when to take it better.

30 mg XR normally last's appr. 4 hours for me but I do have good days (very few) when I may get 5-6 hours.

The times that I take it fluctuates depending on my work day. I usually take my last dose no later than 5pm and have taken it as late as 6pm due to the fact that I had a late work day traveling or driving into the evening hours.

I began sleeping better feeling well rested with less hours of sleep (Usually in the 6 hour range) when my dosage was increased to 30mg.

I am a 3 per day dose and people have asked me why I don't take IR.

I tried two different generic IR's in combination with the XR's and also by themselves and they didn't work as well for me as the brand name XR and also did not last as long.

I have been on this dosage since February and it is working very well for me and the few side effects that I had in the beginning have diminished. It can take months for your body to adjust.
