:D Howday!!!!!

Ok, I've started to notice a trend here lately; alot of us here seem to be focusing on pain, self doubt, regrets, hopelessness and anger (myself included).

So, I have decided to bring some light back into the forums and I ask you two question's.

1. What is important to you?

2. Love is?

1. My children are the most important thing to me,,,they are the only thing I have not gotten bored with or given up on.

2. Love is when your baby looks up at you with that dreamy, half closed eye look and smiles.

1) My family is most important to me...lovers come and go but family is constant.

2) same as number one

1) my sanity is most important to me....whats left of it that is...

2) to me love is based on friendship....its unconditional....I love my friends as well as possible romantic interests in pretty much the same way as after a while, the "Lust" part of love that gets people through the first year and a half or so fades away, there had better be unconditional love behind that or the relationship wont last....I have learned about love from one very special person who is also ADD and while she and I started out friendly, I soon developed romantic feelings for her but then when we realized that it just wasnt feasible at this time (diff continents) we have gone back to friendship....and its better than ever...at the same time, I do believe that if we were to meet face to face, that romantic aspect could be brought back and would again eventually fade away...leaving us once again with that friendship aspect....).

ps.....NF.....I gotta say....I read the name of the post and your name right after it and it made me laugh hysterically......"Love is Nucking Futs!" hehhehehehehe....it really is sometimes!

lmbo missing I never noticed; but, your right love it nucking futs. And I am so glad you were able to save your friendship, alot of ppl I have met here were not that lucky. God Bless you and remember--you never know what the future holds.

I am having a hard time with this. I think I lost what was important a long time a go.
1. The most important thing is learning to beleive in and accept myself because when I am my best I can accept and help others.
2. Love is trying as hard as you can to save things when actions have washed the spark a way. Unconditional love is very hard to find and can be very hard to give. I would like to be able to give and receive it.

I haven't got a clucking fue... :D :D :D

I think love is a big secret, to which VERY few are privy.

awwww....gee thanks......by the way this angel of mine, Issy, as far as I can tell also has ADD.....we have been coversing for some time online and on the phone...she is a wonderful person and deserves all the happiness in the world....

And you don't,,,,I say go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love only comes around once in a great while.

well, no matter what comes of it I will always have the deepest love for her.....friendship and unconditional love....anyway....I feel ridiculously happy now (after writing my letter I literally laughed for about 10 minutes continuously and uncontrollably!!!! I felt real happiness for the first time in a long long time).

Well whether it works out or not am gonna be praying overtime for ya and if it does work out. Since I'll be praying for ya I deserve front seats at the wedding. *smiles

Okay I can appreciate that this is a serious thread. But my joke answer was actually a serious one. I have no clue what love is.

It seems to me like what I would describe as love doesn't match what anyone I have ever loved's definition was, and vice versa...

Exactly clam, nobody's definition of love is the same. That's the amazing part and the scarry part. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

lol Love is knowing when to call a tactical retreat.

Love is total acceptance. Love is someone who will listen without trying to fix it. Love is turning up the heat, even when you're hot, because the other isn't...... Love is paying the bills without *****ing; cleaning off his car after a snow storm. Remembering to take out the trash..... love is all that mundane little stuff you do, so the other doesn't have to.

and all this from a cynic.

I think it's beautiful and right on the money. I often tell my husband don't buy me stuff(ok i don't say it a whole lot) but would rather he did one small thing once a day then something large once a year.

Love is giving without the thought of recieving anything in return.

having a crappy day, feeling like doo on a shoe, and someone close to me starts 'mocking' me by singing, "Nobody loves me everybody hates me, guess I'm gonna eat some worms!" while making woeful faces at me until I can't suppress a smile anymore and we all burst out laughing.....

Love is knowing me better than I do, and better educating me with even the most drastic and painful measures. Love is me doing so back.

Love is telling me I'd better take a mint because my breath is bad. Love hides the chocolate from me every now and then.

So far to me love is an awknowldgement, a way of seeing and treating others (or even things.. ideas). Love is seeing someone with focused eyes, focused mind, and focused heart and seeing a person/creature/thing as a whole and casting none of that away. I believe that love makes no judgements, it accepts all. Not that I can always follow these, but when I do feel like I am experiencing love, this is how it seems so far.

1. At the end of the day it helps to remember I am bio-degradable... It also helps to remember that so are all the jerks out there... :-p

2. No matter how disappointed some folks get in me, or how little faith others have two thing remain constant... I am a hero to my children (Though, I've no idea what I have done to deserve this honor, or them for that matter), and my Mommy loves me. :-)

Love is the dreamy look my hubby gets when looking at me *wink wink

1 To learn somthing new each day is important to me, if i am not learning then i must have ground to a halt.

2 Love is simply knowing you want to be with that person for the rest of your life, no matter what happens.
Love is that gentle hug i give my children as i tuck them up at night.
Love is cleaning up after your sick child (a job i would only do for a loved one)
So i geuss love is going that extra mile to make someone happy.

Love is, my super organised husband, not chucking his teddy when he finds the mess i made with his socket set.

Love is searching out and destroying the purple dinosauer with my kids. Tearing the house apart and getting shot multiple times in the forehead with darts.

Love is my hubby coming home to overturned couches, tables and chairs and having him just laugh and shake his head.

I know it sounds bad but it is the most fun game and the bible does say "come unto him as small children"

LOVE to me is the fact that I know I have friends that stick with me unconditionally because they know the "real" me :D
