I think children of parents on this site will benefit greatly by offering them a top-level forum on Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) exclusively. I am suggesting this because APD is often co-morbid to ADHD but yet most people ADHD only know it's symptoms. In fact, APD is co-morbid in as many as 80% of ADHD cases. Furthermore and most importantly, successful treatment for APD exists for children under age 11 or 12, after this age treatment is ineffective.
How many children are missing needed treatment simply because parents and teachers do not know such a disorder exists?
