My son is 15, he began taking Vyvanse (30mg) 4 weeks ago. Shawn has had no side affects with Vyvanse. With his previous medicines, Concerta or Adderall, he was crabby when the medicine was wearing off and he had trouble sleeping. He hasn't had these symptoms with Vyvanse. His grades went from d's and f's to a's and b's, we hope this last; perhaps we've finally found the medicine that works for him. Best of luck finding the medicine that works for you.

Well in accordance with the manufactors the medication can continue to work even after 12 months, so I'm pretty hopeful.

My daughter is 16 and switched from adderalXR 20 mg's to Vyvanse 50MG. She takes it at 6:30am and by 2:30, it's gone--and she really needs to focus for homework-she's in advanced classes. Does anyone take a second dose of vyvanse or anything else? she used to take adderal 10mg @2:30, b/c the adderal XR wore off.
