*sigh*
So I get that ever so fun call from the principal today (right in the middle of Brandon's nap time, while I was still paining the bathroom). Apparently Steven was chacing a girl, was told by some boys to stop, punched a boy that wasn't involved at all, had to be dragged to the office, kicked the aid, and refused to calm down until "that kids gets suspended." Now he has a one day suspension.

*heavy sigh*

The thing is he's been doing great this year. Much better then any other past year, almost combined. Now this massive backslide. And I can't think of anything that happened recently to set him off like this.

One more week. One more week and we get his IEP all settled (finally!).

Has he explained to you why he did this? I know me and my friends chase each other around all the time just out of fun. Not sure why he did though.

IEP does make all the difference though :D

Apparently thsi girl kept saying that he took a ball and he decided it would be a good idea to chace her down and then drag her to the teacher to show that he didn't take anything (I think there was a bit of get her in trouble there too).

So the great idea was to make him work like a dog yesterday to show just how much fun getting susbended is. So off to my sisters where he pulled weeds (did a horrible job from what she told me) and then inside to scrape tile off the kitchen floor (she's doing a remodel). He comes home and declares that he's going over there every other Sat to help Aunt Penny scrape tile off her kitchen floor.
*sigh*
It really stinks when what is suposed to be a punishment turns out to be fun for the kid.
