I went to the adderall website, and its all changed over to Vyvvanse. Is this drug replacing Adderall?

I don't think adderall is being replaced by Vyvanse, but Adderall will be losing their patent soon, so they may not keep the website as there will be deminished profits from going generic.

If you want to see more of the Adderall XR website, go to AdderallXR.com and click "about adderall xr" at the bottom of the Vyvanse 'ad'.

It's not really replacing Adderall XR but Shire spent a boatload of money acquiring NRP (new river pharm) so they could get control of Vyvanse. My gut feeling is that they are going to focus 100% on steering new business towards Vyvanse from now on. They still have patent protection on Adderall XR and actually have a longer acting form of Adderall XR due out in stores any time now.

SPD 465 is apparently going to be a 16 hour adderall

It's just a really big ad. If you scroll down the page there are still links to info about Adderal

My doctor just told me that "Adderall is being replaced by Vyvanse."

I sincerely hope that that's not true....

try doing a search with cafepharma included with the medication you're interested in. That's the message board for pharmaceutical reps. All kinds of good gossip there.

Adderall isn't going anywhere. It will go generic and still be available. You just won't see advertising and sales reps pushing it though.
