Low-Carb/High-Fat or High-Carb/Low-Fat Diet Improves Weight Loss, Mood

September 14, 2007 — A low-carbohydrate, high-fat (LCHF) diet and a high-carbohydrate, low-fat (HCLF) diet both improve weight loss and mood, but speed of cognitive processing improves less with the LCHF than the HCLF diet, according to the results of a study published in the September issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The *******s! Does this mean french fries are actually brain food? :eek:

I suppose many things can be considered "food".

simple sugars -> the old way -> linear thought processes -> sensation of clear-headedness

fatty metabolism -> more energetically efficient -> powers multitasking multilinear multiple thought processes -> with illusion of failure to keep linear track with one's mind
fat burns in the light of carbohydrate.

and hence loss of the following

... 1 light -> 2 melatonin

-> 3 cortisol -> (glucose mobilization from stores)

-> 4 so awaken with energetic rush or infusion
not all good though as this is also
-> stressful (CRHRs+CRF->ACTH->cortisol in HPA -> the stress reaction)
-> 5 brain food - glucose (as HF writes).

sinful carbs (as HF writes) - as brain food

The waiter ain't fast enough and he's already on jet-pack.

need to think a little more -
however that'd all make sense - given the nature of other concurrent physiological changes

are related to -> mind

mind as their sole focus.

Classical religion deals with mind

Current (parochial - limited - restricted - constrained - arrogant) science does not

Previous 'classical scientific' discussions here
~even~
->doubt<-
its(MIND) existence.

... doubt the mind?

maybe question it?
... but don't doubt that mind exists

mind exists
- and is therefore *very* real
- all that's incorrect is 'real' as idea

'real' -> *is* incompletely characterized.

nothing is real- equally -
everything is real.

~that seemingly false (though not) dichotemy~

helps... ... ...

classical religion deals with mind
current parochial science does not

classical religion 1
current parochial science 0

... and the 90 minutes are up.
Classical religion takes it.

The crowds erupt
(and then pass around the spot cream).

-*- aside-*-

Ahhh!
The teenage years
(also of relevance to ADD - most notably here amongst ardent scientists here (no names) - who have written that they do not believe in mind

... and have bad skin conditions (into their 40's)

almost as though there's a teenage period vII - related to hormonal disruption -
associated (as with the teenage period proper)
~that is~
vI
with mind (as one would expect)
and not the usual (standard) idea of 'reproductive maturity'.

I mean ...

-*- aside-*- has left the building

too funny!
like a white bunny
scratching its head.

-*-

oldest Eastern religious text -> vedanta -> end of knowledge
oldest Western religious texts -> Adam bites from an apple from the tree of good and evil -
of 'knowledge'

-*-

So Classical religion takes it.
Current parochial science hanging its head in 'small picture' shame.

too funny!
we can't discuss religion here -
but watch this scientist (and the others of our kind here
(by the way) ->-
everyone's a scientist - that's the New Scientist
we all must obey 'rule of mind'
->-
... to pack it with the logically consistent characterization of 'reality'
<- or science
->-
~we are all New Scientists~
(by definition)

~ps~ you're gonna' need to buy your own labcoat though
... like, I'm not made of money
(dude)

So Classical religion takes it.

Importantly
- the first religion
meets
our evolutionary legacy - of need for 'us and them'

...why was it necessary to rediscover religion - time and time again?
why???

science regains its soul (holds the answer)

There are no others.
'Them and Us' - are not real subdivisions.

It's your mind - playin' tricks.
Betraying its (the minds) earlier evolutionary directives.
Evolutionary psychology through pushing behaviour stemming from (long gone) - legacy motive.

There are no others.

1.
Vedanta - oldest religious texts

... bear witness to a very good thing

There are no others.

2. (~s~ mommy o's~b)

... and then bear witness to a very bad thing

Dark-skinned Dravidians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dravidian_people)
vs
Light-skinned Aryans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan)

but ...
There are no others.
what're your doing ... guys?

3.
The sound of a belief system losing its soul.

man!

BUT!!!

There are no others.
really - stop!!!
what're your doing ... ... ...guys?

There are no others!!!

That'd be real stupid!
oh well!
... ... ... too late

-*-

light vs dark (skinned yes) -
but generalizng across our rrreality -

- the secret revealed?

No light without dark?

light+dark -> emergent evolution of duals.
Evolution wouldn't work without some aspect of character representing an 'opposite' (everted opposite) to another - in some essential tightly defined
- structural
way.

And yes - the 'tango' of emergence is violent -
but now we see
?how so?

... we switch the internal feelings of fear - away from need to hurt the
'others'

... there are no others.
There are no others!!!

... and understand ourselves (in context).

-*-

We have been really *so* bad.
