Since that last post I have become less stressed. I think self awareness is such a vaulable thing. I attribute that to keeping cool. The other important matter is just focusing much better on the task at hand. Things at our station have been crazy with the war and everything. We had a little scare when we overheard on the scanner one day that a plane had a problem with the hydrolics for the landing gear. We were all scrambling around in case the plane crashed. Fortunatly the plane landed safely. Nothing can compare with the day that CBS was not sending us the SU game and boy were phones ringing off the hook for that.

My editing has improved. I have been able to edit something and make deadlines. I think its all about confidence. If you have that, you can do anything and boy is it helpful. Some of my co-workers have been a big help too. Just the other day I edited maybe 5 pieces of video and got them all done in time. Just thought I let you all know how things are doing.

P.S.
I HATE THE MUSIC CBS IS USING FOR THEIR WAR COVERAGE!!!!! I HAVE HEARD IT ENOUGH AND I HATE IT!!!

God Bless America. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends who have someone in the armed forces and our troops over seas.

Hi Crisgo,
I noticed you're in tv news. I was a Mass Com major myself. Being ADD (and not knowing it back then), I found it impossible to edit tapes. I would get a classmate to do the video editing and I'd do the writing. It worked out okay, but I didn't get the skills I needed, and therefore never really worked in my major. I think you're right about the confidence thing. I think it's great that you've gotten help from co-workers. Asking for help is a hard thing for me to do, too.

Must be truly fascinating to be in your business these days!
