yeah me too - lol this guy is totally cracked (although i do agree that kids are too busy these days and should get more attention from parents... but that's about IT... lol)
i have some stuff to say but i'll do it later

Take this crackpot's argument very far, and you wind up duct-taping and beating your kids. (Unfortunately, I didn't make that up. A church in the area is taking heat now because they customarily used this method on hyperactive kids, and one suffocated when duct-taped overnight.) I don't know any quicker route to child abuse than to take the attitude that you must be dominant at all times, and that any unwanted behavior is a malicious and deliberate act.
I'd consider it sad if I weren't so ****ed off....

Berkeley? Are you kidding me? I thought those people were supposed to be open minded.
All I could think when I first started reading this was "My ADHD kids don't act like that." and they don't. That is not really the point, now is it?
I think Dr. Robert Shaw and his crack team of Berkeley family psyciatrists should try solving some problems instead of wasting time and resources trying to determine where is best to place blame. F****** morons.

Christians understand that children are not little innocents whose only bad habits are likely to come from outside themselves as the result of societal failure. Instead, we know that children are miniature sinners, who need parental nurture and discipline in order to emerge in adulthood as anything else other than self-centered, anti-social brats.
is what really got me going.....that belief in itself is their justification for their treatment of kids. I believe kids need to be taught to be lying, cheating, dishonest "sinners". And no place better to teach them than someplace that is always looking at every action as a sin. (Did i explain myself clearly?) I went to catholic boarding school - the nuns were always finding the "sinful" in every action, every word...... took me years to shed the guilt.

why not? we're inherantly sinful anyway... we need SOMEBODY to shoot!! lol (j/k!!!)
I agree what a nut case. Maybe we should go discipline this guy. Well the web site it is on pretty much explains everything. I wonder if the guy is using the name Berkley to associate himself with the city. Family Institute of Berkeley sounds like a front for this person to sound like he is unbiased.
