so today was the first time i took adderall--well, a generic to be more specific. its was 20mg.
i noticed a HUGE difference when i took it--i was just a busy bee all of a sudden and no longer had the exhausted feeling of just thinking about doing my tasks.
what i also noticed is that it felt like it started to wear off in about 3-4 hours. wasnt sure. hell, as a matter of fact, i feel like i dont have the drive anymore, but it feels like something is still lingering--nothing bad. could be psychological..
so anyways, here are my questions--and sorry for asking cliche questions--as my ADD goes, i lost patience looking over page by page to look for every answer.
QUESTIONS:
1. can i still exercise regularly while on adderall? will it affect my heartrate or anthying? if so, should i take it before or after? i was hoping before because i loved how driven i felt while on it.
2. does it matter to take a generic or the actual brand?
3. is 3-4 hours of duration normal for a first time user?
im 220lb 5'11 male. my doctor said it would last like 6-8 hours.
4. anxiety attacks?
while it was going away, it almost felt like i was about to get a slight panic attack--nothing too seroius of a feeling for me to worry about really--but still wondering.
5. adderall and alcohol?
can i still have a few beers and go out while on adderall?
6. adderall xr
i usually am up 16-18 hours a day--should i ask to be on this instead? will it be sufficient for the whole time, or do i need take multiple doses throught the day?
i noticed a slight case of dry mouth, and possibly a slight raise in my heartrate.
overall, it just felt like a strong coffee, but with the addition of me being super productive for 3 hours. coffee never does that.
and if this helps at all--i am a very finicky meds user. i hate taking any kinds of meds--even aspirin or tylenol. it took me 5 years of my therapist of hounding me, to finally trying this. so im not looking for good times off this stuff. i just need help with my school load and my preparations for grad school.
any input would be greatly appreciated!
